Quarterly Energy Monitor April 2021 – June 2021

The iteration of RDPI’s quarterly energy monitor focuses on the need for inclusion of distributed generation sources of power generation such as Rooftop Solar PV, in Pakistan’s energy mix. Rooftop Solar PV, provides a great opportunity for meeting Pakistan’s renewable energy targets in an efficient and cost effective manner, yet despite there being an abundance of potential for the resource, its uptake has been severely limited. This issue explores the reasons behind this and takes stock of the main barriers and challenges hindering a widespread penetration of solar PV in Pakistan.
